We love this rod design. It feels good, it looks good, it casts great. There’s plenty of thickness at the handle to give it the backbone it needs to lift heavy fish, yet the tip stays lite enough to feel every vibration through the water. Sensitivity and power, all in one. 45-million modulus Toray Fiber creates a fast-action rod with a medium-heavy power rating, great for working cover where you need to feel the bite, but also have to be able to horse a fish out of its hiding spot, fast. 12-20 pound line rating. Cork split grips come standard with an abalone wrap and Fuji Concept guides. Color options in slate and white at no additional charge, many more options in the 10-17 pound rating, as well as a 7′ 3″ version for extra casting distance. And yes, the reel seat you see here is upside down, but this one was built for my wife and it fits smaller hands better that way. Yet another benefit to buying custom.
